The Film Institute provides a unique forum for the community to convene, screen and talk about film. Your support will allow The Film Institute to continue to offer free film screenings, talk backs and film education programming to the Montclair community.
Our programs:
- Films and Filmmakers Series - a weekly film screening and discussion with leading independent filmmakers.
- Reel Montclair: Dialogue with the Screenwriter – a monthly film conversation series with leading writers in film and television, from seasoned writers to emerging voices.
- Sunday Screening Series – a screening series that is a deep dive into some of the most well-known directors and their work. We’ve spent time with Hitchcock and Scorsese among others.
- Behind the Screen – our annual collaboration with Montclair Film which offers a full day of workshops for anyone interested in pursuing a career in Film or Television.
