Past to Present: The Photographic Legacy of Klaus Schnitzer.
This show will illustrate Prof. Schnitzer’s pedagogical legacy in his teaching of photography over the past forty years: first by developing a thorough understanding of the technical aspects of the medium, and secondly, balancing that comprehension by shaping the students' eye to the camera, bringing out their creative side. By “exposing” his photographic vision to his students, he lead to their self-discovery as photographers. It is only fitting that we now recognize his influence in the field and honor him by establishing a named scholarship which will carry on his legacy for future generations of students.
