Today Team Rocky helped continue a wonderful tradition, Rockyween!

Rockyween is a celebration during the day of Halloween when the entire Rocky family takes part in the Montclair State community. Rocky the Red Hawk, his sister Roxy, cousin Ricky and a special new guest appearance from Uncle Roy! 

During Rockyween the Red Hawk family goes around greeting, taking pictures and handing out candy to those wearing costumes or Montclair State apparel. Students, faculty, children and alumni all participated in this event making it a huge success!

We have great news we wanted to share! The Alumni Engagement department extended our crowdfunding page 8 more days so that we can reach our goal!

Happy Rockyween to all!

Today we are continuing our Halloween tradition of Rockyween! Rockyween, is when Rocky the Red Hawk, his Sister Roxy, Cousin Ricky and our new mascot Uncle Roy join Team Rocky in handing out candy to students, faculty and staff wearing Montclair State University apparel or Halloween costumes. Instead of students coming to us, we go out and join the students across the campus community.

We have been creating some incredible videos and content with our beloved Rocky the Red Hawk. As our Montclair State community has shown they enjoy seeing Rocky involved and engaging with the students, faculty and staff.

As part of Team Rocky we have various committees that help promote our mascot and bring more school pride to our student body. One of these committees consists of video production which lets our team members express their ideas and putting them into reality. This past week was one of our biggest school traditions, homecoming! We were happy to see all our past and current Red Hawk students come together in celebration of our wonderful university. This year's homecoming theme was Rocky's Blast From The Past! Each day celebrated a different decade in history.

Rocky practiced for many weeks with the Montclair State Cheerleaders on this dance performance to energize and bring Red Hawk Pride to the fans.

It's hard to believe Rocky's 18th Birthday was week ago. We had a wonderful celebration with our Montclair State students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff.

Our birthday celebration consisted of over 200 people! We had numerous mascot friends come out for dance-off's, celebrations, pictures and autographs. 

Rocky performed a special dance number at halftime with the Montclair State Dance Team as well as participating in many activities to energize the student body at the first home football game of the season.

Overall the event was a huge success and it wouldn't have been possible without your support and donations. Please continue to help Rocky with any contributions you can make!

We hope you join us next year in celebrating this wonderful occasion! Thank you so much!

We cannot believe we are only 1 day away from Rocky's 18th Birthday! It feels like just yesterday our mascot, Rocky the Red Hawk was learning to fly and today he soars around the Montclair State campus spreading his love towards his fellow students.

Our beloved Rocky the Red Hawk was celebrating National Love People Day with his fellow students all day long. His interactions with the students, faculty and staff are always impactful as he brings happiness throughout the Montclair State University community. No matter what day or month it is Rocky is always presenting his Red Hawk Pride with everyone he encounters. Check out this video to see how he continues to spreading his love for almost 18 years!
