Carpe Art is a Montclair State University student and faculty-built platform that bridges student and alumni artists and interested buyers. The platform builds a community that cultivates talent and encourages users to "seize the day" through unique artistic expression: “Carpe Art: Seize the arts”!

Carpe Art emerged from Dr. Swartz’s Entrepreneurial Mindset and Innovation classes. Inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #8: “Decent Work and Economic Growth”, and the challenge of selling student art online, Carpe Art bridges the gap between Montclair State students and alumni to potential buyers. What you see in Carpe Art today is the integration of the efforts of many students whose talent deserves recognition and support.
