The Montclair State Gymnastics Team is in its inaugural year with its founding in the Fall of 2020. Our president, Hannah Goldhaber, founded this club along with a motivated group of students that discovered a passion for the sport of gymnastics throughout their lifetime and wanted to continue their love for gymnastics through college. Our members are gymnasts ranging from beginner level to NCAA athletes, and our team has grown to become a family. We are looking to recruit new members to join our family and enjoy gymnastics as much as we do.
Our main mission when starting this team was to foster a passion for gymnastics in anyone who was interested in learning. We have had many students reach out and ask if they are able to join the team even though they have never done gymnastics before. Many students are growing an interest in learning gymnastics skills and with the Summer 2021 Olympics approaching, many more students will also spark in interest. Practicing in a gymnastics facility can be overwhelming for new gymnasts with having a new atmosphere and using new equipment. We want to have the resources and accessibility to provide a safe and supportive space for students to try out this amazing sport. An AirTrack is an incredible piece of equipment that allows gymnasts of all levels to practice outside of a gymnastics facility, ultimately making our team more accessible and inclusive to students on campus. The AirTrack would allow members of our team to progress from trying out new skills to competing and enjoying the sport. Your support will help us create a practice atmosphere that is safe, accessible and inclusive to all students!
