Mark your calendar for Monday, September 19, 2022, for the 10th Annual Red Hawk Open. Join us on the links this fall at the Crestmont Country Club in West Orange. The day includes lunch, golf, refreshments and dinner reception. Prizes awarded to our first, second, third and most honest teams! Test your skill for the closest to the pin, longest drive and beat the coach competitions. We hope to see you there!

About the Red Hawk Open
Montclair State University’s 10th Annual Red Hawk Open will be held on Monday, September 19, at Crestmont Country Club in West Orange. Proceeds from the Red Hawk Open support the more than 500 student athletes and 18 varsity athletic programs of the Montclair State University Athletic Department. Join us and fellow alumni and friends of the University in support of our student athletes by coming out for a day on the links. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Your support of the Red Hawk Open helps our students excel athletically and it demonstrates to our athletes that their effort and commitment are valued by Montclair State alumni, community members and colleagues.
Last year’s outing raised funds to enhance the student-run and produced Red Hawk Sports Network (RHSN), including livestream production of games, as well as to help fund state-of-the-art equipment, highlight packages, halftime shows and more. In addition to the RHSN, last year’s support helped launch a new Women’s Performance Center and provided upgrades to the Panzer Fitness Center, including new equipment, turf and a hydration station.
Support Montclair State Athletics
Proceeds from the 2022 outing will continue to enhance the RHSN, including expanding use of its automated camera system to air games. These innovative cameras have the unique ability to follow the action of the game using advanced auto production algorithms without the need for a camera operator. This allows for the cameras to automatically identify highlights, create replays, and much more. It also automatically saves games to the cloud and can stream it live or on-demand. This system of sports production is typically only seen in Division I schools and professional sports. Support also will provide funds needed to increase student participation in the program. Through the RHSN, sports communication majors at Montclair State have a unique opportunity to prepare for the professional world that many students across the country don’t have.
In addition to the RHSN, your support will help make locker room upgrades in Panzer Athletic Center, as well as provide upgrades to the Panzer Fitness Center, where having quality equipment is essential to all teams.
