Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Office of International Academic Initiatives offers programs for students in over 50 countries around the 
world, in nearly every academic discipline. Students can participate in a variety of programs including, semester exchange, summer programs, affiliated programs or faculty-led programs over school breaks.
With seed funding from the Provost's office, we launched the SOAR Scholarship program for study abroad in 2022. We have had a tremendous response from students on campus and are seeing greater demand for the enriching opportunities that come from studying abroad. As a result of new scholarship support, IAI recruited and advised 37 students to study abroad in Summer 2023, the highest count since 2010. Under the leadership of new IAI Director Tim White, we are hoping to expand access to our study abroad and study away opportunities to an even wider variety of MSU students, regardless of financial background.
With the generous support of alumni, friends and community members we can add new scholarships that directly support the experiences of our students. The IAI Office plans to use scholarship funds to bring study abroad within the financial reach of as many students as possible, and we will work to ensure that all MSU students know that study abroad is indeed for them. Your gift will change the lives of Montclair students and allow global experiences to become a fundamental part of a Montclair education.
