The Red Hawk Fellows program is committed to supporting Montclair State undergraduate scholars from diverse backgrounds who are identified as emancipated foster students, unaccompanied homeless students and those student from households where no immediate parental or extended family guidance is accessible. At the end of the day, we recognize support is critical to your success in so many ways. As a Red Hawk Fellow, you will get access to unique programs to support your academic success, career development goals, and personal development to help you take steps towards building a strong future.
Students are provided access to a full-time social worker with over 15 years of experience in the field of social services. This social worker offers a depth of knowledge on community resources including knowledge of options for students aging out of the foster care system. Students are also afforded the opportunity to meet 1-1 with a skilled professional to address roadblocks to success.
