James E. Harris Book Scholarship

James E. Harris ‘68, ’70 MA, former Associate Dean of Students and University Ombudsman provided 42 years of dedicated service to Montclair State and its students.  He established the James E. Harris Book Scholarship to provide highly deserving undergraduate students financial support for the purchase of books.

James Harris has served many students and led various organizations at the University throughout his tenure. His passion for education and student success is immeasurable.  When asked what motivated this campaign he said:

“The book fund is consistent with Montclair State University’s history of providing and supporting educational opportunities for a diverse group of highly intelligent, highly motivated students who understand that education is the key that opens doors to many opportunities.  Education is very important to personal development as well as access to employment and financial security.”

James Harris has made a tremendous impact on many students who have graduated from Montclair State in both their personal and professional lives. Join us today, to make a positive and meaningful impact.

Please make a gift in honor of Dean Harris to the James E. Harris Book Scholarship to enable highly deserving students to receive financial support for the purchase of books. Share in his vision to allow access for all students to have the opportunity, no matter their financial means, to be successful.
