The College of Education and Human Services at Montclair State University strives to be a progressive, innovative, national leader in the preparation of educators and human services professionals who possess the knowledge, skills and habits of mind to work toward a healthier, better-educated and more just society.
One of only two New Jersey institutions with nationally ranked graduate education programs, Montclair State University’s program is ranked 105 in US News and World Report rankings of America’s Best Graduate Schools of Education—a list that includes all doctoral-granting institutions in the country. Our online Educational Leadership program is ranked #25 overall and #22 among Online Educational Administration programs in the US News rankings of Best Online Graduate Education Programs. Montclair State University’s Teacher Education Program is one of seven pioneering teacher preparation programs featured in a 2019 Harvard Education Press book by renowned educational scholars Linda Darling-Hammond and Jeannie Oakes titled Preparing Teachers for Deeper Learning. The book describes how teacher preparation programs at these seven institutions are designing ways to equip future teachers with the skills and mindsets needed for 21st-century student learning.
The pandemic's impact on our students has been significant, devastating for some. We've set a goal of raising $20,000. Dean Lucas encourages the CEHS community to join her to begin charting a path towards increasing the College’s culture of philanthropy -- recognizing that every act and gift counts towards our students’ success. Of course, this need is greater than the $20,000 goal, so please give what you can! Currently, the College has approximately 4,400 students -- most of those students need emergency funding to be here this fall.
Take action today with a contribution to help the College’s resilient students stay in school and graduate prepared for impactful careers in education and human services fields.
Leave your mark on this challenge!
Thank you so much in advance for any gift you could make towards the Dean Lucas #Scholarships4CEHS Challenge. For more information, contact Yanira Amadeo, Director of Development, at amadeoy@montclair.edu.
