We are thrilled to share an update on our Marconi fundraiser journey! Thanks to your support and generosity, we have successfully reached 74% of our fundraising goal! This milestone is not only a testament to our collective dedication but also a reason for celebration.
Thanks to all of you, we were able to get access to the NAB Radio Show & purchase TWO tables for the prestigious Marconi Awards ceremony! That’s right, you have unlocked the amazing opportunity for 19 students and their advisor to be “in the room where it happens”. Check out the video by station manager Jared Tauber, with more on this update!
We have a little bit more to go to be able to include the entire management team in this unforgettable experience. The Radio Show and the Marconi Awards are taking place in New York City, and we want to give these dedicated students access to everyone who is anyone in radio. We are grateful for your support and know together we can conquer anything. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make strides towards our fundraising target!
Thanks to our amazing supporters we have officially reached 50% of our goal! This means, half of our team is going to the National Association of Broadcasters' Radio Show (expo and conference) and the Marconi Awards Ceremony at the Javits Center in New York City!
Our goal is to bring our entire WMSC volunteer student management team because it does take a village to achieve greatness! While the conference and awards ceremony sounds just like a lot of fun and it is, it is also a terrific opportunity for our hard-working, volunteer students to network with radio owners, personalities and people who are movers and shaker in the industry of radio and audio, where they would like to make a career. It is true that networking can really help advance careers, but it is key to be strategic in finding the RIGHT people who can help you get there. So what better place than Radio's Biggest Night which gathers all the luminaries of our industry?
This week as the deadline on this fundraiser looms, we asked our student management team what would they do if they got to go to the NAB Radio Show & Marconi Awards Ceremony, and their responses are proof of how much this opportunity means to them. Take a look at the video to see their answers!
Feel free to share this video with everyone you think may want to be part of this journey!
