They have showcased their excellence as journalists, broadcasters, and media creators, bringing home top honors in categories like Best Audio Promo, Best Student Media Website, and Best Video Special Broadcast.
As an alumnus, family member, industry pro, I'm sure you understand the immense value that experiential learning opportunities like WMSC provide our students. Dear donors,
Thanks to your generous support, nine of our talented WMSC students got to be right there in the room where radio history is made, the NAB Radio Show and Marconi Awards at the Javits Center in NYC. Established in 1989 and named after inventor and Nobel Prize recipient Guglielmo Marconi, the awards are given to radio stations and outstanding on-air personalities to recognize excellence in radio. That's right! Now only were these students present when our station's name was called as a finalist, but they also got the opportunity to connect with everyone who is anyone in radio!
Our students are overwhelmed with gratitude for the opportunity you've provided. By being present at this event, they've gained invaluable insights into the industry's cutting edge. Your support is helping our students keep pace with our rapidly changing times, ensuring they enter the workplace ready for any challenge.
On the exhibitor floor, our students had the extraordinary opportunity to test new technology on the exhibit floor of the radio show. This hands-on experience with the latest innovations in broadcasting is invaluable for their future careers.
Students also had the opportunity to return today for the NAB Career Fair and we arethrilled to share that some of our students walked away from the event with interviews at major networks including Audacy, Fox, and ABC. These potential career-launching opportunities are a direct result of your support.
Your continued involvement is crucial in preparing the next generation of broadcasting professionals and our next conference is in Seattle, where students will delve into AI in media, attend an interactive event at the legendary "Live at KEXP", connect with local pros and attend CBI's first career fair with recruiters representing 361 radio stations and 376 television stations across the country!

Dear WMSC Supporters,
Our World College Radio Day 32-hour live marathon broadcast was nothing short of epic! From golf cart karaoke to exclusive performances, we showcased the vibrant spirit of college radio. Here's are some highlights of what the students put together for this special day:
But here's where it gets real: At hour 26, two channels on our main board failed. We lost our DJ Mixer and Aux channels, but did we give up? No way! Our dedicated team rallied, proving that the show must go on.
Your donation will help us:
Every dollar counts. Whether it's $5 or $500, your contribution will keep college radio alive and thriving at our university.

Together, we'll ensure that WMSC remains the heartbeat of our campus community. Thank you for your support!
